Summary:
When we surveyed our customers it was interesting to note that many jewellery makers and beaders were also avid card crafters. It is true that card making is one of the biggest hobbies in the UK, and when you think about how therapeutic making cards can be, then this is no surprise.

Summary:
Although it was a sunny weekend, the week has started of with a bit of a downpour. None the less, summer seems to be here and I have included a summer design example which makes use of pink and aqua cats eye beads, turquoise flower glass beads, and silver lined seed beads. Just add matching earring and you’re set for summer showing off those wonderful pastel colours...

We’d like your help.
As we mentioned in our previous article there has been a recent explosion in bead and jewellery making magazines in the UK. Obviously the powers that be at the publishing houses have decided that making jewellery is going to be the next big thing. This is both good news and bad news for those of us that make jewellery..

Summary:
Just a few years ago there were no dedicated bead or jewellery magazines, and a limited selection of bead suppliers.
When I started making jewellery 12 years ago, I could count the number of bead suppliers in this county on just over one hand. Online ordering and websites were a thing of the future, and some companies only had black and white photocopied drawings of their beads to give away as brochures...
